PKR announces more WSOP details

The welcome party will take place on Friday, 1 July at the Caramel Bar at the Bellagio with the whole bar exclusively reserved for qualifiers, Team PKR Pros, staff and friends. With 1,600 square feet of space, plasma screens and top DJ’s spinning the tunes, the bar has become a favourite for both corporate functions and with celebrities, poker players and Vegas visitors alike.
The Official PKR party has always been one of the most talked about events of the World Series and this year looks set to be no different. The eagerly-awaited event will take place on Tuesday, 5 July at The Mirage resort’s Revolution Lounge. A Beatles-themed club, the Revolution Lounge has been one of the most popular Vegas nightlife destinations since its launch in 2006. With 5,000 square feet of party space, the state-of-the-art club was designed by the creative minds behind Cirque Du Soleil.
Previous PKR World Series of Poker parties have drawn some of the biggest names in poker such as Phil Galfond, Mike Sexton, Mike Matusow, JC Tran and Annette Obrestad as well as household names like Australian cricket legend Shane Warne and Boyzone’s Shane Lynch.
PKR Community manager Dan Grant commented, “The World Series of Poker is our chance to transpose the entertainment we give our players online to the real world, against the ideal backdrop of the world’s greatest poker festival. While the chance to win a bracelet is everything to our qualifiers, we’ll be ensuring they leave with some unforgettable memories from some of Las Vegas’ top locations”.
There are three separate routes available to the 2011 PKR World Series Experience with direct buy-in tournaments and satellites rolling around the clock. As well as VIP invites to all PKR Vegas parties and events all qualifiers will get a buy-in to a bracelet event, six-nights stay in the newly opened The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and cash towards travel and accommodation.
