Pinnacle drops New York casino bid
Las Vegas-based Pinnacle had been tied to a potential casino project near Albany. The New York Gaming Facility Location Board said Pinnacle asked for a refund of its $1 million license application deposit.
New York is planning four Upstate casinos.
Pinnacle was just one several gaming companies with ties to Las Vegas among nearly two dozen applications.
Caesars Entertainment Corp., Malaysia-based Genting Berhad, and Penn National Gaming — in partnership with The Cordish Company — also submitted bids.
