Pigg's Peak online Casino to close following ruling

SOUTH AFRICA -- Following a court ruling, Pigg's Peak Onine Casino will have to close by the end of next month, The Swazi Observer reported.Litigation has been ongoing over many years in which the owners of Pigg's Peak insisted that online gambling takes place on the company's server in Swaziland, not the players computers in South Africa and was therefore legal, the report explained.
The court however did not concur and ruled that Pigg's Peak Online Casino is only permitted to serve players outside South Africa, where online gambling remains illegal, The Swazi Observer reported.
As a consequence of the ruling all online gamblers and casino operators based in South Africa can now be prosecuted if they gamble.
