Pennsylvania jackpot game winner announced

MIDDLETOWN, Pennsylvania – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Pennsylvania Lottery's groundbreaking new jackpot game, mix & match, has produced a second jackpot winner.

One ticket matched all five winning numbers, 07-12-03-19-18, in the same position as they were drawn by the Lottery on April 23. Tonight's winning jackpot is worth a total $144,419 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding. The jackpot prize includes the additional $2,000 top-tier prize for matching all five winning numbers in any position, as well.

This is the second mix & match jackpot won in the last seven draws. One ticket matched all five winning numbers in the April 2 drawing to win the jackpot prize, $791,207 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding.

Mix & match jackpots must be claimed by presenting a top-prize winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery's seven area offices located throughout the Commonwealth. Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at area Lottery offices.

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages the holder of a winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket and then contact Pennsylvania Lottery Headquarters, (717) 985-3275. Pennsylvania Lottery officials cannot announce the identity of Monday's mix & match jackpot winner until a prize has been claimed and a ticket validated.

The mix & match jackpot returns to an estimated $50,000 for the Thursday, April 26, drawing. Live, televised mix & match drawings are conducted every Monday and Thursday at 7 p.m., along with The Daily Number, BIG 4, and CASH 5.

How to play mix & match: Players receive one play for $2. Players choose five numbers from 1 to 19 or use the quick-pick, computer-selection method. Players can win by matching one or more of their numbers in the same position as drawn by the Lottery, and by matching three or more of their numbers in any position. The game offers 17 different prize level combinations. Mix & match tickets may be purchased up to one week (two draws) in advance. Cash jackpots will start at $50,000; if the top prize is not won in a drawing, the entire amount rolls over to the next drawing's jackpot. Mix & match prizes will be paid in cash (including the jackpot prize), a free ticket, or a combination of the two. Odds of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-1,395,360; overall odds of winning any prize are 1-in-3.57.
