Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board levies $37,500 in fines

6 Mar 2019

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved two fines today totaling $37,500.

The fines were the result of Board approvals at its public meeting of consent agreements between the PGCB’s Office of Enforcement Counsel and:

- SugarHouse HSP Gaming, LP, operator of the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, a fine of $30,000; and

- Global Innovative Gaming, LLC, a Gaming Related Service Provider based in Lehigh County, a $7,500 fine.

The fine levied against SugarHouse HSP Gaming, LP, stemmed from two separate incidents in which the casino dealt poker games that had not been authorized by the PGCB.

The fine against Global Innovative Gaming, LLC, was levied against the firm for its failure to immediately notify the PGCB of a change in ownership.

The next meeting of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, 17 April 2019 in the PGCB’s Public Hearing Room located on the second floor of the Strawberry Square Complex in Harrisburg.
