Penn National applies for licence for Lawrence County casino

NEW CASTLE -- Penn National Gaming is seeking to fund and build Lawrence Downs Casino and Racing Resort, according to an Ellwood City Ledger report.

The company has applied along with Endeka Entertainment for a casino licence, the report said.

The plans include a casino that will house 1,250 slot machines, 40 gaming tables, 10 poker tables and restaurants, the Ellwood City Ledger reported.
