PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker go on air

DON, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The final table line-up for PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker is confirmed and the first of two shows showcasing the climax of the tournament gets underway on Channel 4 in the UK tomorrow night at 12.10am (early Wednesday). US 'Poker Brat' Phil Hellmuth enters as chip leader closely followed by Germany's Eddy Scharf. Finland's Juha Helppi and England's Ian Frazer automatically qualified for the final table through their positions in the final league table. There were two play-off heads-up matches for the last two spots on the final table with Liz Lieu beating Kenna James and Vicky Coren seeing off Andrew Black.

PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker has been one of the best received televised poker formats on UK television in years and has been acclaimed by both players and viewers and acknowledged as a ratings winner. The series started its run on Tuesday 22nd May and features 12 of the world's best players playing in a unique league format for a US$500,000 pot. Each player bought in for US$20,000, with PartyPoker.com adding US$260,000.

Blinds for the final table start at 1,000/2,000, with commentary provided by Jesse May with both Tony G and Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliott.
