Paddy Power pay out on BP chief bet

LONDON, England -- Paddy Power has decided to pay out $15,000 to customers on a bet that BP's chief executive would resign, The Guardian reported.
Tony Hayward has not, in actual fact, resigned, but Paddy Power are confident he will, the report said.
A surge in bets was noted during the past week, causing the bookie to move and close the book on the bet, The Guardian said.
Paddy Power are also taking bets on Hayward's successor, the report said.
