Paddy Power offering Conan O'Brien odds
(PRESS RELEASE) -- Leading bookmaker Paddy Power Sportsbook are offering short odds of 2/1 that Conan O'Brien quits as host of NBC's "The Tonight Show" before June 2010.
O'Brien, who took over the flagship show from Jay Leno last year, is unhappy with the networks decision to move the program to an after-midnight slot making way for the returning Jay Leno Show.
The bookmaker is also offering odds on which network O'Brien moves to should he leave NBC. According to their odds of 11/8 its most likely for the 46 year-old broadcaster and comedian to join former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the employ of Rupert Murdoch over at Fox. Also on the bookies shortlist is ABC at 2/1, CBS at 3/1 and MyNetworkTV at 5/1.
Paddy Power said "From Conan's point of view it must be a real kick where the sun don't shine to have the show moved past midnight. I wouldn't be surprised if pride gets the better of him and its Adiós to NBC"
