Paddy Power adds blackjack, roulette to sportsbook iPad app

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Realistic Games and Paddy Power Sportsbook have created an industry first by embedding blackjack and roulette into the operator’s new sportsbook iPad App.

The innovative products allow users of the latest version of the App to switch between their betting slip and the table games without having to transfer money or leave the sportsbook.

Paddy Power launched the games in time for the Grand National as part of a raft of new functionality on the App, which is available from the Apple App store.

Realistic Games is confident the approach will provide customers with a simple introduction to the two most important and popular gaming products on offer.

Commercial director, Andy Harris, said they had worked very closely with the Irish operator to deliver the development within a tight timeframe.

He explained: “We’ve felt for a while that embedding games in iPad sportsbooks, and blackjack and roulette in particular because of their resonance with sports customers, was an idea with great potential.

“We knew that some of those customers are not always keen to migrate between betting and gaming sites and are often put off by having to move their money to other wallets. This solution negates both issues.

“The team at Paddy Power shared our enthusiasm about the idea so we created a prototype and agreed to push hard with the development.

“We’re both delighted with the outcome and hope it provides Paddy Power with a big cross-sell boost for major forthcoming events like the Grand National and World Cup.”
