NEW ZEALAND -- As reported by the New Zealand Herald: "James Packer's Publishing & Broadcasting Ltd has been ruled out as a likely bidder for casino company SkyCity.

"PBL released details of plans to split up its gaming and media assets on Thursday and said it was in due diligence on a large gaming acquisition worth about A$2 billion ($2.38 billion).

"But PBL has told analysts this is not SkyCity, according to Merrill Lynch..."
