Oxford Casino sale depends on Churchill Downs licence approval

AUGUSTA, Maine -- The Gambling Control Board needs to approve the sale of the Oxford Casino to Churchill Downs, the Sun Journal reported.

At present the Gambling Control Board are running background checks on Churchill Downs, the report said.

Churchill Downs needs to obtain a license to operate the casino before the sale can conclude, the Sun Journal report explained.
