Over half of Circa Survivor field eliminated in Week 8
27 Oct 2025
It had been a few weeks since there were any major losses in Circa Survivor. In Week 5, the two top picks lost, eliminating just over 60 percent of the field. This week, the top pick, Indianapolis, cruised to win but that wasn’t the case for the next two picks, Atlanta and Cincinnati.
Things became rocky for Atlanta early Saturday morning. Reports came out that quarterback Michael Penix Jr. was not going to start the game and Kirk Cousins was going to take his place. Whether Penix would have made a difference is unknown, but Miami, who was 1-6 coming into this matchup, dominated the entire way. Miami cruised to a 34-10 win therefore eliminating 1,387 entries from Circa Survivor.
Cincinnati was the third most picked team in Week 8 as they were set against a winless New York team. Cincinnati took an early lead, up 31-16 going into the fourth quarter. However, New York had a miraculous last quarter outscoring Cincinnati 23-7. New York secured their first win, 39-38 over Cincinnati, eliminating 765 survivor entries in the process.
When the dust settled, over half of the field was eliminated. With 81 entries still relying on Kansas City tonight, 2,057 entries remain in Circa Survivor. If Kansas City loses, the field will drop to under 2,000 with a little more than half of the season remaining. As the quest for $18,718,000 continues, each entry remaining is worth $9,100.
In addition to Circa Survivor, Circa Grandissimo saw a pair of entries eliminated. Of the 15 entries left in the contest, two were relying on Atlanta. This drops the total number of entries remaining to 13 out of the initial 69 competing for $6,900,000 in the high-stakes contest. One contestant is still relying on Kansas City tonight.
