Ontario won't shift on scrapping Slots at Racetracks program

ONTARIO, Canada -- Ontario will not budge on scrapping the $345 million Slots at the Racetrack program but will consider other forms of aid to the racing industry, The Toronto Star reported.The government cited poor public policy as its rationale, the report explained.
The government said it would work with the racing industry to create a more fiscally responsible situation that would be in the better interests of tax payers, The Toronto Star report said.
