Only 660 entries survive Circa Survivor Week 7

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Circa Sports’ Circa Survivor contest continued to see its field dwindle in Week 7, with just 660 entries remaining through Sunday. With 97.36% of the original field eliminated, the world’s largest Survivor contest has experienced an extraordinary pace of attrition, as heavily favored selections continue to fall, and the stakes for remaining entries continue to rise. The 2026 contest began with 25,017 entries, up from roughly 18,700 in 2025. That unprecedented scale has magnified the impact of every major upset, with thousands of entries at risk whenever a popular team loses. The pace of eliminations through the first six weeks has tracked roughly with the brutal 2022 edition, which began with approximately 6,000 entries and ultimately produced just two winners.
Week 7 provided another example of how quickly the field can shrink when popular selections fail. Houston was selected by 303 entries, or 23.7% of the field remaining entering the week, but fell 27-21 to the NYG in overtime. The NYJ, meanwhile, were selected by 256 entries, or 20% of the field, before losing 28-25 to Miami. Combined, those two losses eliminated 559 entries, representing nearly 44% of the field entering the week.
Minnesota was the most popular selection, with 378 entries, or 29.6% of the field, backing them to advance. Minnesota delivered a 16-10 victory over Indianapolis to remain undefeated. Minnesota, Houston, and the NYJ accounted for approximately 73% of the Survivor selections entering Week 7, illustrating how concentrated the remaining field has become. When multiple popular teams lose in the same week, the impact on the contest is amplified.
“What’s made this year so unique is the combination of the largest field we’ve ever had and the repeated upsets of the most popular selections,” said Jeff Benson, Director of Operations at Circa Sports. “The dynamics of Survivor are familiar, but with this many entries, the absolute number of eliminations is unprecedented in scale. The field is shrinking faster than in most recent seasons, and every remaining entry is becoming increasingly more valuable.”
Through Sunday, just 660 Circa Survivor entries remain, representing 2.64% of the original field. With the $25,017,000 prize pool still up for grabs, each entry carries an implied value of $37,905, nearly double the $19,621 implied value entering Week 7. The rapid increase in entry value has heightened the strategic pressure on remaining contestants, with secondary-market activity allowing participants to buy or sell portions of their entries.
Circa Grandissimo has experienced a similar collapse. Three of the six entries entering Week 7 selected Houston and were eliminated in the overtime loss. The remaining three entries advanced, with two selecting Minnesota and one selecting Denver. With the $100,000 buy-in and $7,700,000 prize pool, each of the three remaining Circa Grandissimo entries carries an implied value of approximately $2,566,667. Just 3.9% of the original 77-entry field remains in contention.
With the season not yet halfway complete, the unusually rapid attrition has left a much smaller field competing for the record-setting prizes well before the Thanksgiving and Christmas stretches, which have historically brought additional challenges. Although the contest remains wide open, the remaining entries face an increasingly narrow margin for error as the season progresses.
