Online Casino Seeks London Listing
LONDON – As reported by Reuters: "Cassava Enterprises said it intends to seek a full listing on the London Stock Exchange this month for its online casino 888, which is expected to be valued at more than 700 million pounds.
"'The industry has reached a stage where consolidation is going to be the name of the game over the next 18 months and we want to be there and take it forward,' 888 Chief Executive John Anderson told reporters in a conference call on Thursday.
"The Gibraltar-based company, founded in 1996, said it had appointed London-based HSBC as sole bookrunner, global co-ordinator and sponsor for the 888 float.
"Sources close to the deal told Reuters last week that the float would value the Internet casino operator at more than 700 million pounds.
