LONDON, England -- British bookie William Hill felt the financial pain when a Maltese villager scored big on a football bet in November, The Independent reported.The bettor, a 42 year old waiter in Malta, popped one euro on a multiple match bet, the report explained.
His bet had extraordinary odds of 683,783/1 which proved all the more extraordinary when William Hill had to pay him out £570,000 ($887,599)
