Oklahoma Retailers Sell Lottery Tickets
OKLAHOMA – As reported by Claremore Progress: "Oklahomans wondering where to buy a lottery ticket when sales begin at 5:01 a.m. Wednesday have choices.
"Nearly 1,300 retailers around the state will sell the tickets at first, according to Beverly Hughes, marketing director for the Oklahoma Lottery Commission. But the commission is processing close to 2,000 overall.
"The commission posted a list of the retailers on its Web site Monday, less than 48 hours before the fledgling lottery's first four games launch.
"One, a $1 game, is called 'Lucky 7's' and is common among state lotteries, said James Scroggins, Oklahoma lottery director. Players scratch off tic-tac-toe spaces and look for three '7' figures in a row. They can win up to $777.
"In two $2 games, Oklahoma Gusher and Rush to Cash, players will scratch off oil derricks or western boots, looking for matches with magic numbers. Prizes top out at $5,000.
"And a $5 game, named $25,000 Jackpot for its maximum prize, has four numbers to match with 10 spaces marked with money bags.
"…As the Oklahoma Lottery starts stacking revenue into bank accounts and the commission…"
