NIGC Approves Lakes Entertainment Deal
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Lakes Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq:LACO) announced today that it has received notification from the National Indian Gaming Commission that it has approved Lakes management agreement with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians ("Pokagon Band") to develop and manage the Four Winds Casino Resort project on the Pokagon Band's land in New Buffalo Township, Michigan. The first phase of the development is planned to include approximately 3,000 slot machines and 100 table games, as well as numerous restaurants, enclosed parking and several other casino amenities. The Four Winds Casino will be the only land-based casino in the northern Indiana/western Michigan market.
