Neymar Jr. finishes second in PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker

(PRESS RELEASE) -- What a performance from Neymar Jr in the Event #73-H 5,300 NLHE [Titans] of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker 2025. The Brazilian football star showcased his poker skills and outlasted 77 opponents to finish second with a prize of $99,075.03. Missing out only heads-up against Canadian “Notmystyle”, who overcame a chip deficit against the PokerStars Ambassador to deny him his first WCOOP title, and walk away with the top prize of $129,043.57, generated by 79 entries and 33 re-entries.

It wasn’t the first strong performance for Neymar Jr at WCOOP , though. The legendary striker also reached the final table of the WCOOP #17-H, the $10,300 Super Tuesday High Roller, two weeks ago, and mini-cashed in the #62-H, the $ 2,100 NLHE [Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill] last week, proving he is no stranger to battling in high rollers.

- WCOOP 17-H: $10,300 [Super Tuesday High Roller] – 7th place - $28,111.16
- WCOOP 62-H $2,100 NLHE [Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill] – 15th place - $2,712.58

There is still over one week to go in WCOOP, so it will be no surprise if we see Neymar Jr hit the PokerStars tables a few more times before October 1. With major tournaments including the Main Event and the NLHE World Championship Event still to come, Neymar Jr could still score a WCOOP win.
