New Zealand: Government extends convention deal deadline

NEW ZEALAND -- The deadline for a deal between the government and SkyCity Entertainment group over the building of an Auckland-based convention centre has been extended, according to a Business Desk report.The two parties have now set the deadline for two weeks time, the report explained.
The government wants SkyCity to build and finance a conference centre in exchange for an extended gaming licence and increased slot machines and table games, Business Desk reported.
