New York plans takeover of NYRA

NEW YORK -- A bill has been introduced that, if realized, would see the take over of the New York Racing Association by the state of New York, the Thoroughbred Times reported.The proposal is that the state would take over the NYRA for a period of three years, the report explained.
A board of 17 members would be established, the Thoroughbred Times said.
