New poker training site launches

26 Mar 2009

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- ProPlayLive.com, an educational poker training Web site featuring instructional videos from some of the poker world's top professional players including: Annie Duke, Greg Raymer and Erik Seidel officially launched today. Viewers essentially get to "watch over the shoulder" of top poker pros while they play and explain every move they make…or don't make, while they play poker online. The training videos are streamed over the Internet directly to the subscriber's PC.

Lead Instructor Greg "FossilMan" Raymer, who won $5 million as the 2004 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion and is a member of Team PokerStars Pro, said, "Since mid 2008 we've been steadily building up our video library and now have a formidable amount of poker training video content spanning a wide variety of poker games and buy-in levels, all with top poker professionals as instructors."

ProPlayLive.com took a different approach to the poker video training market by focusing on well known professional poker players as their instructors. "There are a number of good poker training sites in the marketplace today, but their instructors are predominantly online poker players who the general public has never heard of. Our approach was to offer great poker training for both the online player and the live game player who visits casino poker rooms or plays home games and do it with instructors that have proven live game success," said Beverly Pipes, Director of Customer Service at ProPlayLive.com.

Pro Play Live's instructors have contributed over well over 100 poker training videos and boasts over 18 WSOP Bracelets with live poker tournament winnings exceeding $20 million. Instructors include Greg Raymer, Annie Duke, Erik Seidel, Tom McEvoy, Bill Chen, Alex Outhred, John Lukas, Mark Kroon and Shawn Rice with additional instructors to be announced in coming months.

Monthly subscriptions are only $19.95 with two introductory subscription rates offered: Option 1 is the Monthly Plan which has a $49.95 setup fee and includes the first month of service, then it is just $19.95 each month thereafter. Option 2 waives the setup fee and is the "Bulk Buy" Plan where students get 5 Months of access for just $99.95 and then $19.95 a month thereafter.

Annie Duke, who currently holds the women's record for the most WSOP in the money finishes and is currently featured on NBC's The Celebrity Apprentice 2 TV Show, said, "For the tiny cost of joining Pro Play Live, players get top level instruction that would cost them literally thousands of dollars if they hired poker professionals like myself on a one-on-one basis. The value to anyone who joins is tremendous - it's really a no-brainer."

Another key point to ProPlayLive.com is its focus on quality. "Our videos are meticulously edited to squeeze as much information and learning value into as short a time as possible while still maintaining the integrity of the play because rarely are any actual hands cut out. So the student still gets to see the good, the bad and even the ugly mis-read or bad beat but without long pauses and delays commonly found in other online poker training videos. This not only helps maintain your interest while you watch but saves time so you can get back out on the tables sooner rather than later to apply your newfound edge over your opponents," added Beverly Pipes.

The company believes Video training is a great addition to a poker player's learning arsenal. In addition to Poker Camps like the WSOP Academy, poker books and monthly poker magazines, being able to watch top professionals play in real game situations is where the rubber meets the road. And for $19.95 which is less than the price of an average poker hand in most games, that's +EV in poker parlance.

Interested poker students may visit http://www.ProPlayLive.com for more information, to watch free demo videos, and to sign up where they can access the entire video library and start watching poker training videos immediately.
