NEW JERSEY -- In a fight for survival, New Jersey racing enthusiasts made their presence felt at the recent gaming summit to discuss the state's gaming future, The Examiner reported.During one session equine industry representatives would have been buoyed to hear Atlantic City casino President Mark Juiliano admit that VLTs at Meadowlands are not a financial threat to casinos in Atlantic City, according to The Examiner.
The horse racing industry is presenting a strong, united front at the gaming summit to oppose the governor's revitalization plan for Atlantic City, which does not allow slots at racetracks, The Examiner reported.
