NEW JERSEY -- New Jersey has been denied a rehearing in its battle to legalize sports betting, the Press of Atlantic City reported. The state will have to take its case to the Supreme Court to see if it can secure a hearing, the report said.
The Court of Appeal previously ruled that legalizing sports betting was illegal because there exists a federal law that forbids sports betting, the Press of Atlantic City report said.
