Nevada board approves MGM Mirage Macau venture

LAS VEGAS, Feb 27 -- As reported by Reuters: "Nevada's Gaming Control Board voted unanimously on Tuesday to recommend approval of MGM Mirage Inc's (MGM.N) casino joint venture in Macau, a key ruling for MGM's expansion plans in the booming gambling haven.
"The state's Gaming Commission, which has the final say on licensing in Nevada, will take up the recommendation and make its own ruling in about a month.
"The three-member board on Tuesday were looking in particular into MGM's Macau partner, Pansy Ho, the daughter of Stanley Ho, the man who once had a monopoly on the gambling business in the Chinese enclave.
