NBA legend Tony Parker holds invitational event at WSOP

11 Jul 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Yesterday evening, four-time NBA champion and six-time NBA All-Star Tony Parker held an intimate poker event at the 53rd annual World Series of Poker. The invitation-only affair, which took place inside Paris Las Vegas, included tense poker games and a sampling of Champagne Jeeper, Parker's most recent project on which he collaborated with longtime friend Michel Reybier.

Parker is no stranger to poker, he has played in the WSOP multiple times and even kicked off the 2021 Main Event with a momentous Shuffle Up and Deal address in its final year at the Rio before the move to the Las Vegas Strip at Paris Las Vegas and Bally’s, the future Horseshoe Las Vegas. Parker’s time in the NBA also enhanced his love for poker as he played regularly against his teammates on trips to away games. Following last night’s event, Parker confirmed he will return next year once again for the 2023 WSOP Main Event.

With this year’s Main Event well underway, the opportunity to earn a gold bracelet still remains for poker players, with more than 15 online and in-person bracelet events scheduled through Wednesday, 20 July.
