MSPT Canterbury Park begins Friday

(PRESS RELEASE) -- This weekend the MSPT is headed back to the place where it all began way back in 2009 – Canterbury Park - Racetrack & Card Casino in Shakopee, Minnesota. From 26 to 28 April, the venue will play host to a $1,100 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed Main Event.

Day 1a will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday with the 1b flight taking place at the same time on Saturday. Players need only be 18 years old to play.

The MSPT last visited Canterbury Park back in February, which is when Matt Kirby topped a 479-entry field to win his record-tying third MSPT title and a $99,573 first-place prize. That tied him with both Carl Carodenuto and Blake Bohn for most Main Event titles in tour history.
