More eligible for New Mexico lottery scholarships

SANTA FE, New Mexico – As reported by Las Cruces Sun-News: "A broader range of students would be eligible for the New Mexico lottery scholarship under three measures that cleared the House on Tuesday.
"The first bill would extend the length of time high school graduates have to apply for the lottery scholarship to 16 months. Now, they must attend college in the fall if they graduate in the spring.
"The bill would prompt more students to go on to college by giving them more time to make the decision, said its sponsor, Rep. Antonio Maestas, D-Albuquerque…"
