Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority announces closing of financing for construction of Cowlitz Casino

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, or the Authority, the owner and operator of Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, and Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, announced today that the Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Authority, or CTGA, an instrumentality of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, or the Cowlitz Tribe, closed on its financing for the construction of its proposed casino to be located on the Cowlitz reservation in Clark County, Washington.

"We are very pleased to announce that the CTGA has closed on its casino construction financing," said Robert J. Soper, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Authority. "This is a monumental step both for the Cowlitz Tribe and for the Authority as developer and manager, as we can now proceed with the development of what we believe will be the finest and most successful resort in the Pacific Northwest, which is expected to be open to the public in mid-2017."
