(PRESS RELEASE) -- Mohegan Sun is proud to announce that Table Games Dealer Emely Pascual Alvarez captured the 2nd annual G2E Dealer Championship title on the final day of the Global Gaming Expo last week in Las Vegas, NV. Representing Mohegan Sun among the industry's top dealers, Pascual Alvarez showcased expertise in blackjack and roulette to earn the championship crown.“It was beyond a thrill to take part in this competition, and to win feels surreal as there were so many incredible dealers,” said Pascual Alvarez. “This has been such a memorable experience, and a huge thank you goes out to G2E, my colleagues and Mohegan Sun leadership who were behind me the whole way.”
The final round on 1 October concluded a 3-day competition that tested skill, technical mastery, professionalism and dedication to delivering an exceptional player experience. Fifty competitors representing casinos across North America advanced through a nomination process before being evaluated on a 10-point scale throughout the competition. The nomination process for Mohegan Sun specifically involved a 2-day competition where 20+ dealers competed to determine who would represent Mohegan Sun in the G2E Dealer Championship. By taking home the top prize in Vegas, Pascual Alvarez won $5,000.
Earlier this year as well, Mohegan Sun was recognized among the top gaming and entertainment destinations in the Northeast, earning 34 total awards in Casino Player Magazine’s Best of Gaming 2026. The annual, reader-voted awards honored Mohegan Sun with 16 first-place finishes, including “Best Overall Gaming Resort.”
