LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- MGM Resorts International will build a nongaming luxury hotel in Shanghai, as part of its growing MGM Hospitality division.

In a deal announced Tuesday, MGM Resorts said it will build and operate a 200-room hotel with retail and entertainment through a joint venture with Diaoyutai State Guest House of the People's Republic of China.

The Bellagio Shanghai hotel is scheduled for completion in 2015 and will be built for the Suning Real Estate Group.

MGM Hospitality was formed to operate hotels, resorts and residences in key destinations around the world, including the Middle East, North Africa, India, and China, under the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Skylofts brands.
