MGM Mirage: Singapore Bid Unaffected by Investigation
SINGAPORE – As reported by AFX: "MGM Mirage Inc said an investigation by gaming regulators in the US state of New Jersey into its casino joint venture in Macau with Shun Tak Holdings Ltd has no impact on its bid to develop a resort-cum-casino here.
"MGM-Mirage spokesman Alan Feldman told XFN-Asia that the investigation is routine.
"…MGM Mirage has tied up with CapitaLand to bid for the Marina Bay site on which the government wants a casino built. The government is selling the site for 1.20 bln sgd.
"…The consortium of MGM Mirage and CapitaLand is among seven parties which purchased the request for proposals documents for the Marina Bay site released yesterday by the Singapore Tourism Board, the government agency handling the bidding for the integrated resorts…"
