MGC holding public meeting today on online gaming and sports wagering

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Today, the Massachusetts Gaming Commission will hold public meeting #438 at 11 a.m. Those wishing to attend can join the conference call at 1-646-741-5292 and entering the Meeting ID 111 1431 1966. A LIVE STREAM will be available at MassGaming.com. Community members are also invited to follow along with live meeting updates by connecting with the Commission on Twitter, @MassGamingComm.

After the meeting is called to order, Executive Director Karen Wells will lead a discussion on the finalization of the temporary licensing process for Digital Gaming Corporation.

Following that, the Legal Division will head the next portion of the meeting, where several regulations are set to be discussed. Those regulations include:

  • 205 CMR 138: Uniform standards of accounting procedures and internal controls for gaming
  • 205 CMR 238: Uniform standards of accounting procedures and Internal controls for sports Wagering
  • 205 CMR 247: Uniform standards of sports wagering
  • 205 CMR 248: Sports wagering account management
  • 205 CMR 254: Temporary prohibition from sports wagering

Commissioner updates are set to follow, rounding out the meeting.

There is time allowed at the end of the meeting for any other business that the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of posting. The Commission reserves the right to vote on these or other matters during the meeting.
