UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions excitement is growing along with the jackpot - and players are lining up for a piece of the action. A total of 498,855 tickets were winners in the Friday, March 23 Mega Millions drawing. Since none of those tickets matched all six numbers to win the estimated $48 million jackpot, the jackpot for the Tuesday, March 27, 2007 drawing grows to an estimated $60 million.

Six tickets came within a heartbeat of hitting the jackpot in Friday's drawing. Each of them matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California (1), New York (2) and Virginia (3).

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 18-21-35-51-53 and the Mega Ball number was 36. Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
