Mega Millions jackpot rises to $65 million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Lucky players nationwide continue to win big with Mega Millions. In Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a total of 488,856 tickets from coast to coast won prizes, including three tickets that came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, the jackpot grows to an estimated $65 million for the Friday, February 2, 2007 drawing.

The three tickets that matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California, Ohio and Virginia.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
