UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players from coast
to coast are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When
Friday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 445,323 tickets into Mega
Millions winners. Now that jackpot is growing! Since no ticket matched all
six numbers in Friday's drawing, the jackpot grows to an estimated $34
million for the Tuesday, October 10, 2006 drawing.
The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 1-11-20-21-46 and the Mega Ball number was 18.
Five tickets each won $250,000 by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey (2) and New York.
Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
