UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions is heating up! Players in the 12 Mega Millions states won big in the Friday, June 9, 2006 drawing, as a total of 365,633 tickets won prizes. There was no jackpot winner, so the jackpot is on the move and estimated at $25 million for the Tuesday, June 13, 2006 drawing.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 08-17-18-26-47 and the Mega Ball number was 37.

Pari-mutuel prizes means that prize amounts vary with the number of tickets sold and the number of winning tickets in each prize category.

Two tickets came within just one number of hitting the jackpot in Friday's drawing. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California and Illinois.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
