Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $108 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Mega Millions jackpot is quietly growing, and countless players across the country are feeling the excitement. When Tuesday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 674,022 tickets into Mega Millions winners. Each of those tickets matched one of Mega Millions' lower prize levels. That includes 11 tickets that each won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot grows to an estimated $108 million for the Friday, October 21, 2005 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 03-12-16-32-33 and the Mega Ball number was 15.

Those 11 tickets that each won $250,000 came within a heartbeat of winning it all. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Georgia (1), Massachusetts (2), New Jersey (2), New York (3) and Ohio (3).

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
