Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $102 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- It may be cold outside, but Mega Millions is hot! A total of 602,358 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Tuesday, February 7, 2006 drawing, including 8 tickets that each won $250,000. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the $88 million jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Friday, February 10, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $102 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 02-16-25-30-48 and the Mega Ball number was 26.

Those eight tickets that won $250,000 each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Georgia (2), Illinois (1), New York (3) and Texas (2).

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
