UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players from coast to coast are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When Friday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 498,532 tickets into Mega Millions winners. Now that jackpot is growing! Since no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday's drawing, the jackpot grows to an estimated $41 million for the Tuesday, May 2, 2006 drawing.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 16-29-32-36-55 and the Mega Ball number was 12.

Five tickets came within just one number of the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California (2), Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York.
