UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Friday, January 13, 2006 Mega Millions drawing really brought out the winners! A total of 369,187 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes, including four tickets that each won $250,000. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, January 17, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $23 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 05-21-27-44-53 and the Mega Ball number was 36. The four tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Massachusetts (1), Texas (1) and Virginia (2).

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
