Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $49 Million

A total of 443,445 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes, including six tickets that each won $250,000. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $40 million jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, August 22, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $49 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 5-12-13-46-50 and the Mega Ball number was 10. Here is a complete breakdown of the winning tickets:

The six tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California (1), Maryland (1), New Jersey (2) and Texas (2).
