Mega Millions jackpot grows to $112 million

NITED STATES -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot
winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked
away winners. With nine different ways to win, a total of 631,508 tickets
won prizes in the May 8 drawing. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to
take home the jackpot, that jackpot grows to an estimated $112 million for
the Friday, May 11, 2007 drawing.
Five tickets came within a heartbeat of winning the jackpot in Tuesday's drawing. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Ohio and Washington.
The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 16-24-41-43-54 and the Mega Ball number was 36.
Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
