NITED STATES -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Tuesday, May 22, 2007 Mega
Millions drawing really brought out the winners! A total of 403,919 tickets
from coast to coast matched enough numbers to win Mega Millions' prizes.
That includes seven tickets that only missed one number: the Mega Ball
number. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to take home the jackpot,
that jackpot grows to an estimated $34 million for the Friday, May 25, 2007
drawing.
The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 2-7-11-22-36 and the Mega Ball number was 35.
The seven tickets that matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Texas.
Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
