UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- September has been a wild month for Mega Millions, with three separate drawings resulting in jackpot winners. Now the month is ending with the jackpot growing again -- and with it, Mega Millions excitement. A total of 344,403 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Friday, September 29 drawing. Since none of those tickets matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Tuesday, October 3, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $15 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 3-25-43-45-55 and the Mega Ball number was 40.

Four tickets matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California, Illinois, Michigan and New Jersey.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
