UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The jackpot in Mega Millions is growing -- and there is no shortage of winners! A total of 339,853 tickets from coast to coast won prizes in the Tuesday, August 8, 2006 drawing. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Friday, August 11 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $23 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 1-5-13-18-33 and the Mega Ball number was 30.

Two tickets came within a heartbeat of winning the jackpot. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California and New Jersey.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
