A total of 483,107 tickets won prizes, including 8 tickets that each won $250,000. No ticket matched all six numbers to win Tuesday's jackpot, so the jackpot for the Friday, October 14, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $77 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 24-30-42-53-54 and the Mega Ball number was 20.

Those 8 tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Two of those tickets were purchased Virginia; and one each in Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas.
