Mega Millions grows to $31 million

MEGA MILLIONS, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Friday, November 24 Mega Millions drawing really brought out the winners! A total of 321,032 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes, including three tickets that nearly hit the jackpot. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $23 million jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, November 28, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $31 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 14-35-40-47-48 and the Mega Ball number was 35

Pari-mutuel prizes means that prize amounts vary with the number of tickets sold and the number of winning tickets in each prize category.

The three tickets that matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California, New York and Ohio.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
