UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The jackpot is growing once again in Mega Millions. Less than a week after a ticket sold in California won an estimated $88 million jackpot, Mega Millions excitement is building. A total of 356,457 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Tuesday, January 3 drawing. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Friday, January 6, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $15 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 15-19-20-32-38 and the Mega Ball number was 21.

Three tickets missed the jackpot by just one number. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California, Maryland and New York.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
